About the Role:

The Platform Engineering Lead serves as the technical backbone of our Platform Support this role you will combine your practical engineering experience with deep technical expertise in our APP Platform to ensure high-quality client implementations and foster technical excellence within the team.

Working closely with our Analytics and Risk Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) you will play a critical role in translating operational asset knowledge into meaningful platform outcomes for our clients.

Please Note: This is a hands-on high-impact technical role focused on problem-solving implementation excellence and quality assurance rather than people management.



Requirements

Key Responsibilities

Platform Configuration & Client Implementation
  • Lead technical platform configuration during client onboarding and implementation phases.
  • Configure and validate SCADA data ingestion asset structures component hierarchies inspection data analytics outputs and risk models.
  • Identify and resolve configuration and data quality issues prior to client deployment.
  • Act as the core technical counterpart to client engineers during implementation projects.
  • Support client training and drive the adoption of platform outputs and recommendations.
  • Escalate software defects to the development team via our ticketing system and assist in troubleshooting root causes.

Technical Quality Assurance

  • Review and quality-assure work completed by Platform Support Technicians.
  • Ensure configuration inputs data capture processes and platform outputs meet rigorous company standards.
  • Develop maintain and optimize technical review processes and implementation standards.
  • Identify technical capability gaps and recommend improvements to training documentation and processes.

Engineering Expertise

  • Apply practical knowledge of power generation assets reliability maintenance inspections and asset performance management.
  • Interpret operational data and ensure its accurate representation within the platform environment.
  • Provide continuous implementation feedback to Analytics and Risk SMEs to improve platform outputs and maximize client value.

Documentation & Continuous Improvement

  • Develop and maintain implementation standards technical guides and configuration documentation.
  • Document client-specific configurations and decisions to support business continuity and knowledge sharing.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of support processes platform adoption and technical delivery.

Essential Requirements

  • Education: Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Electrical Industrial Mechatronic Reliability or a related Engineering discipline.
  • Experience: Approximately 5 years of engineering experience within power generation industrial renewable energy or related asset-intensive environments.
  • Site Experience: Practical site-based experience working with operational assets maintenance inspections reliability or performance improvement initiatives.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving capabilities with high attention to detail and a commitment to technical accuracy.
  • Tech Savviness: Ability to quickly learn master and navigate complex software platforms and technical systems.
  • Communication: Strong interpersonal skills with the confidence to engage and consult with technical client stakeholders.
  • Logistics: Valid drivers licence and access to a personal vehicle.

Advantageous Skills

  • Experience with SCADA systems industrial control systems or operational technology (OT) environments.
  • Exposure to asset integrity reliability engineering risk management or condition monitoring.
  • Experience supporting software products digital platforms or managed services.
  • Exposure to renewable energy assets power stations or utility-scale infrastructure.

Required Skills:

Requirements: BEng or BSc Degree or equivalent in electrical / mechanical engineering Professionally registered engineer certification will be advantageous. > 15 years of rotating equipment industry experience with a track record in solving complex problems on various types of rotating equipment sets such as steam turbines gas turbines pumps compressors & reciprocating engines. Proven track record in effective problem-solving capability within the various industries through project references Extensive experience in rotor dynamics and vibrations. Experienced in rotating equipment design and engineering analysis (CAD FEA etc.) Proficiency in relevant software and tools for data analysis planning and reporting. MS Office / Project / Google Skills & Knowledge: Design Knowledge of design techniques tools and principals involved in production of precision technical plans blueprints drawings and models. Engineering and Technology Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology. This includes applying principles techniques procedures and equipment to the design and production of various goods and services. Mechanical Knowledge of machines and tools including their designs uses repair and maintenance. Administrative Knowledge of administrative and drawing office procedures and systems such as word processing managing files and records stenography and transcription designing forms and workplace terminology. Building and Construction Knowledge of materials methods and the tools involved in the construction or repair of houses buildings or other structures such as highways and roads.
