Job Summary
A Consumer and Healthcare company is seeking a Pharmacy Sales Representative within Bloemfontein that will be responsible for promoting and the companys healthcare products to healthcare professionals including General Practitioners and Pharmacies. The role focuses on driving product awareness increasing recommendation rates building strong customer relationships and achieving territory sales objectives.
Sales & Business Development
- Achieve monthly quarterly and annual sales targets within the allocated territory.
- Promote and detail the companys healthcare products to healthcare professionals.
- Drive product recommendation and prescription generation through effective detailing activities.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within the territory.
- Implement territory business plans aligned to company objectives.
- Monitor competitor activities and market trends.
Customer Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with healthcare professionals and key opinion leaders.
- Ensure regular call cycles and territory coverage according to company requirements.
- Provide scientific and product-related information to customers.
- Resolve customer queries and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate customer records and call reports through the CRM system.
Product & Clinical Knowledge
- Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the companys product portfolio.
- Stay informed on therapeutic areas market developments and competitor products.
- Deliver professional product presentations and educational sessions.
- Ensure all activities comply with industry regulations and ethical marketing practices.
Territory Management
- Plan and manage daily weekly and monthly activities effectively.
- Analyze territory performance and identify growth opportunities.
- Manage promotional materials and samples responsibly.
- Submit timely reports forecasts and market feedback.
Administration & Reporting
- Maintain accurate call planning and reporting.
- Submit weekly activity reports and monthly territory reviews.
- Track sales performance against targets.
- Participate in sales meetings training programmes and product launches.
Minimum Requirements
Qualifications
- Relevant tertiary qualification in:
- Life Sciences
- Medical Sciences
- Pharmacy
- Nursing
- Marketing
- Business Management
- Or equivalent healthcare-related qualification
Experience
- 25 years pharmaceutical healthcare consumer health or medical sales experience.
- Relationships with Doctors and Pharmacies in Bloemfontein
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets.
- Experience calling on:
- General Practitioners
- Specialists
