Those working as assistants and office support at PwC will provide high-level administrative support to senior executives including managing their schedules coordinating meetings and handling confidential information. You will play a crucial role in maintaining smooth operations and effective communication within the organisation.

Role Summary:

The Personal Assistant will provide administrative support to two partners in the KZN space.

Qualifications / Certifications :

  • Post-graduate diploma or higher

Experience required:

  • 5 years in a personal assistant role or consulting environment

Responsibilities of role:

The candidate will need to be physically present in the offices in accordance with the PwCs policies.

Personal assistant responsibilities:

  • Screening of incoming telephone calls as well as the taking and following up on messages.

  • Proactive diary management on PwCs systems.

  • Typing editing formatting and collating presentations and general correspondence.

  • Handling confidential and sensitive documentation / information.

  • Arranging both local and international travel arrangements including: airport shuttle research accommodation options research entertainment options in foreign country and advise maintaining back up documentation foreign exchange processing related travel expense and advances submittance and processing ensuring staff have appropriate and up to date travel documents requesting and collating documents and information for visa application visa processing follow up on travel bookings visa and visa related documents consult with security experts on safety of destination registering travellers with SA Embassy detailed directions to meeting venues.

  • Arrange gifts for clients staff and others as requested.

  • Co-ordinating meetings.

  • Supporting managers with staff bookings and changes thereto.

  • Completion of timesheets and expenses of partners and ADs as needed.

  • Liaison with both internal and external clients in a professional manner at all times and build good relationships particularly with client or other PwC office staff to facilitate invitation letters for visa and other travel arrangements.

  • Assisting Managers with ad hoc tasks from time to time.

  • General secretarial and office administration functions to ensure smooth running of office.

  • Dealing with various internal and external queries.

  • General support that may or may not be directly related to work.

  • Supporting with finance and administrative tasks such as opening job codes billing collections etc.

  • Handling billing: chasing up managers to bill on time keeping track of payments as well as verification of the information on the system.

  • Taking minutes of meetings.

  • Managing visitors.

  • Assisting with preparing of meeting agendas.

Skill sets :

  • Knowledge of various PwC systems

  • Microsoft 365

  • Attention to detail

  • Exceptional communication skills

  • Good interpersonal skills

  • Ability to facilitate and present

  • Negotiation skills (i.e. staff planning and coordinating various activities)
