TB HIV Care (THC) in existence since 1929 is an internationally recognized non-profit organization. We provide health care services throughout South Africa to both the general population and communities at increased risk for HIV and TB including adolescent girls and young women sex workers and people who use drugs. Purpose of the position:

The peer educator should focus on directly supporting HIV testing services including community and facility-based testing as well as the integration of supportive services such as pre- and post-test counselling offering PrEP and PEP linkage to treatment viral load suppression and re-entry into care. Perform minimum required M&E activities



Minimum Requirements
  • Grade 12/ NCV
  • Accredited/Recognised 10 Days HIV counselling certificates
  • Certified to conduct finger prick testing
  • One (1) years related experience and/or training
  • Ability to communicate in English and isiXhosa languages
  • Drivers license would be advantageous
  • Residing within the allocated ward/district
  • Knowledge and experience in a DREAMS or related programme a requirement
  • Experience in data collection and capturing
  • MS Office profiency
  • Clear criminal record
  • Ability to travel as and when required
