Job description:
- Review and authorise supplier creditor and operational payments
- Ensure all payments comply with internal controls policies and approval frameworks
- Verify supporting documentation before releasing payments
- Monitor payment workflows and ensure deadlines are met
- Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies and exceptions
- Maintain accurate records of authorised transactions
- Liaise with internal departments and external stakeholders regarding payment queries
- Support cash flow and treasury-related functions
- Assist with audit requirements and compliance reviews
- Ensure adherence to financial governance and risk management procedures
Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of payment authorisation experience
- Strong understanding of financial controls and compliance requirements
- Experience working with high-volume payment transactions
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong reconciliation and problem-solving abilities
- Experience working on ERP or accounting systems
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Qualification:
- Matric (Essential)
- Diploma in Accounting Finance or a related field advantageous
