Our client in the financial services industry is seeking to employ a Paraplanner to join their team based in Port Elizabeth.

- A relevant tertiary qualification such as BCom Financial Planning Accounting Law General or a similar qualification
- Alternatively relevant industry experience will be considered
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Adaptable and comfortable learning and using new technologies
- Comfortable using AI tools in a professional environment
- Ability to perform financial calculations accurately
- Ability to conduct thorough market research
- Strong report-writing and written communication skills
- Interest in and ability to support the preparation of financial advice
- Willingness to learn all aspects of independent financial advice and practice management
- Strong technical knowledge and ability to interpret complex financial information
- Ability to manage client files independently
- Ability to work closely and effectively with financial advisers
- Proactive approach with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- High standards of accuracy professionalism and confidentiality
Responsibilities:
- Providing advice support across risk estate investment and retirement planning
- Supporting the financial planning process using the six steps of financial planning
- Assisting advisers with the preparation of financial advice
- Conducting financial calculations and analysis
- Conducting market research and gathering relevant financial information
- Preparing accurate and professional client reports and documentation
- Reviewing and interpreting complex financial data
- Assisting with the preparation of client files and ensuring all information is accurate and up to date
- Managing client files independently where required
- Working closely with financial advisers to support the advice process
- Assisting with the preparation of compliant advice documentation
- Using Microsoft Office and relevant technology to complete daily responsibilities
- Using AI tools where appropriate to improve administration research and document preparation
- Keeping up to date with relevant industry developments and financial planning practices
- Providing general support across independent financial advice and practice management
