Job Summary

Our client a well established financial services firm based in Cape Town is looking for a detail oriented Paraplanner to join their growing team. The successful candidate will provide technical and administrative support to financial advisers helping to prepare comprehensive financial plans for clients. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to build a long term career in financial planning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare financial plans and reports for review by financial advisers
  • Conduct research on investment products retirement solutions and risk products
  • Gather and analyse client financial information ahead of adviser meetings
  • Compile client portfolios and update records on the relevant planning software
  • Liaise with product providers to obtain quotes illustrations and policy documents
  • Draft correspondence and reports for clients in a clear and professional manner
  • Ensure all client files are compliant with FAIS and other regulatory requirements
  • Assist advisers in preparing for client review meetings
  • Process new business applications and monitor progress through to completion
  • Maintain accurate records of client interactions and instructions
  • Support advisers with ad hoc administrative and technical tasks
  • Keep up to date with changes in legislation products and the financial planning industry
  • Assist with the preparation of investment and risk analysis reports
  • Follow up with clients and providers to ensure outstanding matters are resolved timeously


Requirements
  • A relevant tertiary qualification such as a BCom or similar
  • Completed or working towards CFP certification will be advantageous
  • A minimum of two years experience in a paraplanning or similar support role
  • Strong understanding of investment retirement and risk planning principles
  • Proficiency in financial planning software and Microsoft Office
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Knowledge of FAIS and other relevant financial services legislation



  • Required Skills:
