Packaging Technologist

Our client is seeking a Packaging Technologist to join their manufacturing facility in the Western Cape. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing packaging development projects evaluating packaging materials and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement innovative packaging solutions for new and existing products
• Conduct packaging performance testing and validation trials
• Prepare and maintain packaging specifications and technical documentation
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support product development projects
• Investigate packaging quality issues and implement effective solutions
• Monitor packaging trends and recommend innovative technologies
• Ensure compliance with food safety quality and customer standards
• Support sustainability and continuous improvement initiatives within the packaging function

Minimum Requirements

• Matric
• Packaging Technology Diploma
• Experience in packaging development
• Understanding of packaging materials packaging equipment and manufacturing processes
• Experience working with packaging suppliers and managing technical specifications
