Outbound Shift Manager

Purpose of this role : The Inbound/Outbound Shift Manager has complete responsibilityfor Inbound/Outbound functional processes within the fulfillmentcentre managing all aspects of stock handling from receipt fromsuppliers to filing the stock in inventory locations. This positionrequires a candidate with the proven ability to drive processimprovements and the ability to keep pace with TAKEALOTexplosive growth while motivating others to meet the challenges ofan extremely deadline-driven and fast-moving environment of E-commerce

This position reports to the : DC Outbound Manager

Your responsibilities will include:

• Overall management and coordination of allwarehousing functions
• Oversee Outbound/Inbound operations manage entirethe process within Outbound/Inbound during their shift
• Responsible for efficiently managing all aspects of stockhandling from receipt from suppliersto dispatch to customers including the returnsdepartment
• Ensure daily weekly and monthly planning is done forall warehousing operations andmanage adherence to plan
• 5S Adherence & Safety compliance - Effectivemanagement of housekeeping and ensure all safetyprotocols are followed
• Management of resource to be effective and efficient atlowest cost and according to changing needs
• Staff Management Supervise department staff andEffective leadership and direction for the operation team through evolvement
• Cross-department co-ordination communication withDispatch Inbound Inventory and TES service teams todeliver on the relevant key business drivers
• Manage customer liaison process and ensure thatwarehouse queries are resolved timeouslyand exception trends are addressed
• Ensure that warehouse space equipment andwarehouse flow is optimised and that future
• Warehouse requirements are planned
• Ensure stock accuracy through disciplined stock control
• Operate an efficient Distribution Centre by identifyingimplementing and managing optimal processes andprocedures to minimise costs and maximize workingcapitaland implement stock accuracy; Ensure reduced
  packfail and Inbound Exceptions SOP are followed and all exceptions are collected on time with accuracy

Qualification & Experience:

• Grade 12
• Relevant tertiary education
• 5 years experience in directly and indirectly managingpeople to deliver continuous improvement E-commerce experience
• ERP systems knowledge
• Experience in working with budgets and cost analysis
• LEAN or continuous improvement
• Performance management skills knowledge of Industrial
• Relations and practices
