Order Fulfillment Representative (Sea Freight)

• Manage the end-to-end export process from receipt of shipping instructions to shipment departure document finalization and client invoicing.
• Coordinate sea freight exports ensuring all operational activities are completed accurately and within agreed timelines.
• Review and verify customer shipping instructions ensuring all necessary documentation and information are complete before processing shipments.
• Select the optimal routing carrier and service options based on customer requirements transit times and cost efficiency.
• Oversee cargo handling activities including collection packing labelling weighing consolidation and delivery to shipping or packing terminals.
• Monitor shipment progress proactively addressing delays booking changes capacity issues and other operational exceptions.
• Prepare verify and release accurate export documentation including shipping instructions bills of lading and customs declarations in compliance with regulatory and customer requirements.
• Liaise with shipping lines port terminals customs authorities warehouses and transport providers to ensure smooth shipment execution.
• Maintain comprehensive and accurate shipment records ensuring all supporting documents are audit-ready and accessible for customer reference.
• Ensure compliance with applicable South African Revenue Service (SARS) export regulations as well as international trade and destination-country requirements.

• Grade 12 / Matricis essential.
• A diploma or certificate in Freight Forwarding International Trade Logistics Supply Chain Management or a related field is advantageous.
• Relevant industry training in sea freight customs procedures and export documentation is preferred.
• Minimum of 57 years experience in international freight forwarding with substantial hands-on experience in sea freight exports.
• Proven experience managing export shipments independently from booking to departure and file closure.
• Strong knowledge of export documentation shipping line procedures customs clearance and international logistics.
• Previous experience handling complex shipments resolving operational problems and managing customer escalations.
• Experience with freight forwarding systems shipment tracking platforms and Microsoft Office.
