Ops Assistant Shipchandler

Job Summary
- Capture and process quotations on client online platforms and internal ERP systems.
- Review supplier proposals to ensure compliance with client requirements.
- Verify pricing structures currencies and tariff applications.
- Submit completed quotations to the relevant Account Manager.
- Upload quotations and supporting documentation to approval systems.
- Liaise closely with the Commercial Manager regarding proposal anomalies and applications.
- Validate client orders upon receipt.
- Process orders accurately from placement through to invoicing.
- Ensure supplier and client information is correctly captured within the ERP system.
- Monitor order progress and resolve administrative discrepancies.
- Maintain effective communication with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Support the commercial team with administrative and operational requirements.
- Ensure documentation is complete accurate and submitted within required timelines.
- Qualification in International Trade Logistics Supply Chain Business Administration or related field.
- Matric.
- Previous experience in international trade administration.
- Logistics industry experience advantageous.
- Shipchandling or maritime industry experience highly advantageous.
- Strong understanding of international trade processes and documentation.
- Excellent administrative and data capturing skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite particularly Word and Excel.
- Experience working with ERP systems.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Analytical and problem-solving capability.
- Adaptable proactive and able to perform under pressure.
- Professional approach when dealing with clients suppliers and stakeholders.
Required Skills:
