Production Cord Plant

To manufacture detonator cord at the Prima Cord environment.
- To produce detonating cord of different sizes through different stations from C1 to C6.
- Take powder charge according to cord specification using the correct formula
- Set up the machines according to the product needed using the correct tooling.
- Recording of log sheets and production tags for traceability
- Take out samples from each spool for quality check
- General house keeping
- Quality inspection packing labelling of final product. Record production quantities
- To do a proper start-up before the beginning of the shift and a proper shut-down at the end of the week or when required
- Have a full understanding of Epex methodology.
- Be able to work under pressure
- Be able to work full shifts and overtime
- Consciences and diligent
- Detail oriented
- Maintain a high standard of integrity
- Fosters teamwork and collaboration
- Able to work on your own with little supervision
- Grade 12
- Maths and Science will be an advantage
- 6 months experience in Explosives manufacturing
- Experience working at the Cord Plant will be an added advantage
