Job Summary
Our client a Pinetown based financial services company requires an experienced Operations Manager - Risk & Compliance and Customer Support to play an important role in ensuring operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Someone with banking finance would be suited.
Strong management skills and potential for leadership.
- Manage and oversee daily operational activities across all departments
- Ensure efficient customer service and support delivery
- Implement and improve operational processes and procedures
- Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements including FSCA POPIA AML and FICA
- Identify operational risks and implement effective controls
- Manage operational reporting reconciliations and financial administration
- Oversee banking processes payments reconciliations and settlements
- Lead and support the operations team through performance management and coaching
- Liaise professionally with customers partners underwriters and service providers
- Drive process improvements automation initiatives and operational excellence
- Ensure accurate documentation audit trails and compliance records are maintained
- Strong background in Banking and Financial Services
- Minimum 5 years experience in banking compliance and operations
- Financial management and accounting knowledge
- Strong understanding of risk compliance and operational controls
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-pressure environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel Word Outlook)
- Advanced Certificate in Banking Services
- Accounting qualification or financial background
