- Strong expertise in configuration management tools (e.g. Ansible Puppet Chef Salt)
- Proven automation skills using scripting and programming languages (e.g. Python Bash PowerShell)
- Deep knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tooling (e.g. Jenkins GitLab CI GitHub Actions)
- Solid understanding of infrastructure as code (IaC) technologies (e.g. Terraform CloudFormation)
- Experience with monitoring logging and observability platforms (e.g. Prometheus Grafana ELK/EFK)
- Hands-on experience operating cloud platforms (AWS Azure or equivalent)
- Expertise in change release and transition management practices for IT services
- Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills for complex production incidents
- Excellent stakeholder communication and leadership skills for cross-functional teams
- Knowledge of IT service management frameworks (ITIL) and operational governance.

- Experience with containerisation and orchestration (Docker Kubernetes)

- Knowledge of data centre components (networking storage servers)
- Experience working in regulated environments (financial or automotive preferred)
- German language skills advantageous (not mandatory)
- Exposure to DevOps and SRE practices (error budgets SLIs/SLOs)
- Experience with security and lifecycle management for infrastructure
- Familiarity with data pipelines and ML model deployment considerations
- Experience with automation frameworks for testing and deployment (e.g. Terratest)
- Experience setting up or operating Centres of Excellence or Communities of Practice
- Experience in mentoring and coaching junior OPS personnel.
Duties & Responsibilities
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead configuration management and automation initiatives to standardise and stabilise production
- environments
- Design implement and maintain IaC and automation pipelines for environment provisioning and application rollout
- Drive transition management activities for new services and major changes ensuring smooth handover to
- operations
- Define and enforce operational processes and governance for configuration releases and changes
- Act as escalation point for major and critical incidents; lead postmortem investigations and corrective actions
- Collaborate with infrastructure feature teams to implement design for run improvements and operational
- requirements
- Develop runbooks run-time documentation and automation to reduce manual intervention in operations
- Monitor measure and report operation KPIs; propose and implement measures to improve service quality and reliability
- Support IT Service Continuity Management for business-critical processes and coordinate continuity measures
- Support onboarding and knowledge transfer and deliver training related to transition and operational processes
- Participate in and where required set up Centres of Excellence or Communities of Practice to share best
- practices
- Work closely with product stakeholders security and regulated-business teams to integrate operational
- requirements into designs
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and practices.
- Ensure the security and integrity of software applications.
- Actively pursue Use Cases to implement AI tools and technologies to increase overall team efficiencies and
- quality.
- Communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders to understand and meet their requirements.
- Effective systematic problem solving and implementing of workarounds to ensure system availability as per
- relevant SLA and OLA.
- Work in a full DEVOPS environment with international colleagues / external partners.
- Any additional responsibilities assigned in the Agile Working Model (AWM) Team Charter.
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum mandatory qualifications:
- IT degree or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum mandatory experience:
- Broad IT experience typically 6-10 years with 35 years in IT operations/operations management
- Proven experience in transition management with relevant qualifications (ITIL Foundation and Service
- Transition or equivalent)
