OPERATIONS ASSISTANT HOEDSPRUIT LIMPOPO

Are you highly organised practical and ready for a hands-on role in the great outdoors

An exciting opportunity is available for an Operations Assistant to support the safe and smooth delivery of field-based expeditions. This live-in position is ideal for someone looking to build valuable experience in operations logistics and programme management within a purpose-driven environment.

Location: Hoedspruit Limpopo
Start Date: 5 October 2026
Type: Full-time live-in position

THE ROLE

You will support day-to-day expedition operations including:

Logistics planning and administration
Kit equipment and inventory management
First aid and communications equipment
Transport supplies and operational movements
Reporting and maintaining accurate records
Volunteer support training and debriefs
Daily operational briefings and meetings
Social media support including Instagram
Identifying and escalating safety safeguarding and welfare concerns
Problem-solving across a dynamic field-based environment


Requirements
WHAT WERE LOOKING FOR


Highly organised reliable and detail-oriented
Strong administrative and record-keeping skills
Adaptable proactive and able to prioritise
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Microsoft Office proficiency particularly Excel
Fluent in English
Valid First Aid qualification or willingness to obtain
Valid South African drivers licence with PDP or willingness to obtain
Comfortable working flexible hours and living on-site
Legal right to work in South Africa
Police clearance and satisfactory references

ADVANTAGEOUS EXPERIENCE

Experience in any of the following would be beneficial:

Logistics or operations
Project or programme support
Tourism or conservation
Volunteering or youth programmes
Outdoor or field-based environments
Stock vehicles equipment or practical maintenance
Social media
