Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced OpenText AppWorks Configuration Specialist to join a leading organisation on a 12-month renewable contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for configuring and optimising business processes translating business requirements into functional specifications supporting solution design and implementation managing change requests and overseeing testing and post-implementation support.

- Bachelors degree (NQF Level 7) in Computer Science Information Management or a related field.
- 35 years of experience in a business analysis environment specifically involving OpenText applications.
- Strong knowledge of business requirements analysis elicitation techniques and functional specifications.
- Experience in configuring complex business processes and system tasks.
- Knowledge of quality assurance IT governance and continuous improvement.
- Experience in change management acceptance testing and solution implementation.
- Ability to investigate system issues identify root causes and recommend effective solutions.
- Experience contributing to training manuals training plans and knowledge transfer.
- Strong industry business and organisational knowledge.
- Excellent planning organisational problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities demonstrate resilience and influence stakeholders effectively.

Key Duties and Responsibilities OpenText AppWorks Configuration Specialist
- Analyse business requirements and design high-quality IT solutions aligned with business objectives and approved governance frameworks.
- Configure and optimise complex business processes workflows and tasks within OpenText AppWorks.
- Develop and maintain functional specifications system documentation and supporting technical requirements.
- Manage change requests and assess their impact on existing systems business processes and functionality.
- Lead and support solution delivery throughout development system integration testing deployment and implementation.
- Coordinate and manage User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure solutions meet business requirements and quality standards.
- Investigate system issues perform root-cause analysis and recommend effective solutions in collaboration with users developers and stakeholders.
- Provide ongoing application maintenance and technical support to ensure system stability and business continuity.
- Ensure compliance with IT governance frameworks quality assurance standards policies and approved procedures.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement process optimisation and enhanced system performance.
- Develop and maintain training materials user manuals and training plans to support new implementations and system enhancements.
- Deliver training and facilitate knowledge transfer to business users and internal teams.
- Stay up to date with OpenText AppWorks tools technologies methodologies and industry best practices.
- Collaborate with project managers programme managers business analysts developers and other stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation and ensure knowledge transfer is completed through an accessible traceable repository.
