Job Summary

Our client is looking for an OpenStack Infrastructure Engineer to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for an infrastructure-focused engineer with a passion for cloud platforms Linux automation networking and large-scale compute and storage environments.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing building managing and scaling OpenStack-based infrastructure while ensuring high levels of performance stability security and reliability across mission-critical hosting platforms.

Requirements:

Relevant Bachelors Degree in Information Technology Computer Science Information Systems Engineering or a related field.
Experience operating open-source infrastructure platforms and cloud environments.
Experience with OpenStack implementation administration operations or troubleshooting.
Experience with Ceph or similar distributed storage systems.
Strong Linux systems administration and troubleshooting skills.
Experience with virtualization and cloud infrastructure at scale.
Understanding of enterprise-grade server hardware storage systems networking equipment and data centre environments.
Strong networking fundamentals including IPv4 IPv6 switching routing and cloud networking concepts.
Exposure to OVN Open vSwitch (OVS) BGP LACP Juniper networking technologies or similar technologies would be advantageous.
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) configuration management and automation practices.
Experience with Terraform Ansible or similar automation tools.
Experience troubleshooting across compute storage networking hypervisors databases containers and operating systems.
Strong understanding of infrastructure security access control and operational best practices.
Knowledge of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles and operational resilience.
Experience with monitoring and observability platforms.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent documentation and technical communication skills.
Ability to work effectively within a distributed team environment.
Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation and support occasional after-hours maintenance and incident response activities.
Strong sense of ownership and commitment to delivering reliable solutions.
