Network Engineer Level 3

Our client is an established enterprise with a large distributed technology environment and a critical dependence on secure resilient connectivity. The organisation is modernising its network estate and needs a senior technical specialist who can bridge hands-on engineering architecture input security alignment and transformation delivery.

1. Own senior network design decisions: Lead or materially shape enterprise network designs that improve resilience scalability security and operational maintainability.
2. Resolve critical escalations at root cause: Act as third-line owner for complex network incidents drive RCA and convert repeated issues into systemic improvements.
3. Advance secure network architecture: Partner with cybersecurity teams to improve segmentation IDS/IPS alignment zero-trust controls and audit-ready network practices.
4. Drive transformation workstreams: Lead network components of modernisation initiatives such as SD-WAN hybrid-cloud connectivity segmentation or platform upgrades.
5. Improve operational maturity: Introduce better monitoring capacity planning automation or SDN approaches where they can reduce risk cost or manual effort.
6. Build engineering capability: Mentor Level 12 engineers and produce standards playbooks and design documentation that improve consistency across the team.
