We are seeking four experienced Natural / Adabas Mainframe Consultants to join our clients team with two positions based in Gauteng and two in Cape Town.
The successful candidates will have strong hands-on experience in Natural mainframe development and Adabas database infrastructure. Experience with VisionPLUS and exposure to the retail or banking industry will be highly advantageous.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop maintain enhance and support applications using Natural on IBM Mainframe platforms.
- Work with Adabas database infrastructure to support reliable data storage retrieval and processing.
- Analyse business and technical requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
- Perform application development debugging testing and maintenance.
- Investigate and resolve application and database-related incidents.
- Support mainframe application integration and data processing activities.
- Conduct system testing troubleshoot defects and implement corrective solutions.
- Maintain technical documentation and adhere to development standards.
- Collaborate with business analysts developers database administrators and other technical stakeholders.
- Support ongoing system enhancements and production support activities.
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience in Natural mainframe development.
- Strong experience with Adabas database infrastructure.
- Knowledge of IBM Mainframe environments and application support processes.
- Strong analytical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a technical team.
Highly Advantageous Skills
- Experience with VisionPLUS.
- Experience in the banking or financial services industry.
- Experience in the retail sector.
- Knowledge of transaction processing and business-critical mainframe applications.
