Duties & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance fault finding and repairs on mechanical and electrical equipment.
- Conduct preventative and predictive maintenance activities to maximize plant reliability.
- Diagnose breakdowns efficiently and implement effective corrective actions.
- Install commission and maintain industrial machinery and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with safety quality and operational standards.
- Interpret technical drawings schematics and equipment manuals.
- Assist with shutdown planning and execution.
- Continuously identify opportunities to improve equipment performance and plant efficiency.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to minimize downtime.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and reporting.
Minimum Requirements
- Qualified Millwright Trade Test.
- 5-8 years of post-trade experience in an industrial manufacturing mining or engineering environment.
- Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding experience.
- Experience with preventative and predictive maintenance practices.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Sound knowledge of industrial machinery equipment and associated systems.
- Strong understanding of workplace safety regulations and best practices.
- Valid drivers licence.
- Must be based in or willing to relocate to the Middelburg area.
