The opportunity is with an established engineering business specialising in advanced drilling and mining equipment with operations locally and internationally. Youll work alongside engineering maintenance and operational teams to solve technical challenges improve equipment reliability and support innovative engineering solutions.
What youll be doing
- Provide technical support and troubleshoot mechanical and hydraulic equipment.
- Investigate equipment failures identify root causes and implement practical solutions.
- Support field service commissioning and operational teams locally and internationally.
- Improve equipment reliability performance and maintenance efficiency.
- Contribute to equipment design improvements and engineering innovation.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on technical projects.
- Maintain engineering drawings technical documentation and safety standards.
What youll need
- BEng BSc Eng or BTech in Mechanical Engineering.
- 35 years mechanical engineering experience in mining drilling or heavy industry.
- Strong mechanical and hydraulic troubleshooting skills with an understanding of basic electrical systems.
- Experience supporting field operations equipment maintenance or commissioning.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Proficiency in CAD or engineering design software.
- A practical analytical approach to problem-solving.
- Valid drivers licence medical fitness and willingness to travel locally and internationally.
