An established engineering company is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Mechanical Draughtsman to join its team in Heidelberg. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong professional with proven drafting experience within a mechanical engineering environment.
Duties & Responsibilities
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years experience as a Mechanical Draughtsman
- Relevant drafting qualification or certification
- Proficient in AutoCAD SolidWorks Inventor or similar drafting software
- Strong understanding of mechanical design principles and engineering drawings
- Ability to interpret and develop detailed manufacturing and fabrication drawings
- Experience creating assembly drawings technical layouts and bills of materials
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Key Responsibilities
- Produce accurate mechanical drawings and designs according to project specifications
- Prepare detailed manufacturing and fabrication drawings
- Modify and update existing drawings as required
- Ensure drawings comply with engineering standards and client requirements
- Liaise with engineers project managers and production teams
- Maintain drawing records and revision control
- Assist with design improvements and engineering solutions
