We are seeking a detail-oriented Technical Draughtsman with strong experience in industrial gas cleaning off-gas systems and process plants to join their engineering team.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed 3D models and technical drawings for gas cleaning and off-gas systems.
- Develop and detail equipment including:
- Baghouses and dust collector systems
- Ducting and transition pieces
- Hoppers chutes and discharge systems
- Scrubbers and associated equipment
- Fans and mechanical equipment
- Process piping and valves
- Platforms walkways and access structures
- Equipment supports and miscellaneous steelwork
- Develop general arrangement and equipment layout drawings.
- Produce detailed fabrication and manufacturing drawings for mechanical equipment and ducting.
- Produce piping isometric drawings and material take-offs.
- Develop 3D concepts and models during detailed design phases.
- Assist with the development and review of process plant layouts.
- Interpret P&IDs process flow diagrams and engineering specifications.
- Ensure accurate integration of mechanical equipment piping ducting and structures with other engineering disciplines.
- Participate in 3D model reviews and incorporate review comments.
- Work closely with mechanical and process engineers to develop practical and manufacturable designs.
- Prepare update and maintain technical drawings and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
- Maintain drawing libraries and ensure compliance with company and industry drafting standards.
Minimum Requirements
- Diploma in Draughting or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum 5 years experience as a Technical Draughtsman.
- Strong proficiency in Autodesk Plant 3D.
- Experience with Autodesk Navisworks or similar 3D modelling and coordination software.
- Proven experience within gas cleaning off-gas systems process plants or heavy industrial environments.
- Experience producing mechanical piping ducting and fabrication drawings.
- Ability to interpret P&IDs process flow diagrams and engineering specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and technical accuracy.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
