Job Description:
- Conduct destructive and non-destructive testing on concrete composite and steel materials
- Prepare cast cure and manage test specimens in accordance with industry standards
- Assist engineering teams with prototype assembly and structural load testing
- Accurately record analyse and report test results to support product development and quality assurance
- Maintain calibrate and troubleshoot laboratory testing equipment to ensure reliable performance
- Manage laboratory materials consumables and inventory while maintaining a safe clean and organised workspace
- Minimum of 35 years hands-on experience in a construction materials or engineering testing laboratory
- Strong understanding of SANS ASTM and/or ISO testing standards
- Proven experience operating materials testing equipment and interpreting test data
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organisational and problem-solving skills
- A practical hands-on approach with the ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Experience with fibre-reinforced concrete composite materials or hydraulic testing equipment will be highly advantageous
- National Diploma BTech or BSc in Civil Engineering Materials Science
