Are you a hands-on Maintenance Technician with strong mechanical capabilities and practical electrical fault-finding experience This opportunity is suited to a reliable and technically minded individual who enjoys keeping production equipment running efficiently responding to breakdowns and supporting a fast-paced manufacturing environment where equipment reliability and minimal downtime are key.
Job Description:
- Perform preventative maintenance on production machinery and equipment
- Attend to machine breakdowns and restore equipment to operation as efficiently as possible
- Conduct routine inspections to identify potential mechanical and electrical faults
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and basic electrical problems
- Carry out repairs and ensure equipment remains reliable and operational
- Perform basic electrical wiring and fault-finding on machinery
- Diagnose and repair basic electrical control circuits
- Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records
- Work closely with production teams to minimise downtime and support operational requirements
- Maintain a clean safe and organised working environment
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the maintenance function
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with relevant health and safety procedures
- Minimum 3 - 5 years maintenance experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Strong mechanical aptitude with practical maintenance experience
- Experience with preventative maintenance and production machinery breakdowns
- Basic electrical wiring and fault-finding capabilities
- Ability to diagnose and repair basic electrical control circuits
- Strong troubleshooting and practical problem-solving skills
- Experience supporting production equipment in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to respond effectively to breakdowns and time-sensitive maintenance requirements
- Reliable responsible and able to work effectively under pressure
- Strong focus on equipment reliability and minimising production downtime
- Good health and safety awareness
- Trade qualification as a Millwright Electro-Mechanical Technician or similar
- N3 / N4 Electrical training
