Maintenance Team Leader

Our client is looking for a practical and reliable Maintenance Team Leader to supervise a small team of workers and ensure that work is completed efficiently and according to schedule.

This is a hands-on coordination and team leadership role suited to someone who enjoys working with people visiting sites and making sure projects stay on track.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and coordinate a small team of workers
Transport the team to and from work sites as required
Liaise with clients on site
Monitor work progress and provide regular updates
Ensure work is completed according to agreed timeframes
Allocate daily tasks and keep the team focused and productive
Ensure that workers follow safety requirements
Assist with practical work and problem-solving where required
Report any issues or delays to management

Requirements

Previous experience supervising or leading a small team
Experience in maintenance electrical solar construction or a related environment would be advantageous
Good communication and client-interaction skills
Able to organise people and keep work on schedule
Practical hands-on approach
Good understanding of workplace safety
Valid drivers licence and reliable transport
Must reside in or around Howick Hilton or Pietermaritzburg

Salary: R18000 R20000 CTC per month
