Maintenance Artisan

Required Skills:

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mining equipment and machinery. Diagnose faults and conduct repairs on mechanical or electrical systems within the relevant trade. Inspect maintain and repair equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation. Read and interpret technical drawings manuals and work orders. Use hand tools power tools and relevant diagnostic equipment. Identify equipment defects and report maintenance requirements. Follow maintenance schedules and procedures. Comply with mine health and safety standards including isolation and lockout procedures where applicable. Maintain accurate maintenance records and good housekeeping. Demonstrate troubleshooting teamwork and problem-solving skills.

Required Education:

Grade 12 / Matric or recognised trade qualification in a maintenance discipline such as Mechanical Fitter Millwright Electrician or Diesel Mechanic depending on the trade test certificate relevant to the appointed maintenance experience in mining heavy industry or a similar mine induction and safety training.
