Lifeguard - Luxury All-Inclusive Safari Lodge - Northern KwaZulu-Natal
Role Overview:
An exciting opportunity for a vigilant and responsible Lifeguard to join a luxury all-inclusive safari lodge in Northern KwaZulu-Natal. This role is ideal for a safety-conscious individual who is passionate about guest wellbeing and maintaining a secure and enjoyable pool and recreational environment within a high-end hospitality setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Pool Safety & Guest Protection
Monitor swimming pool and surrounding recreational areas at all times
Ensure guest safety and enforce pool rules and regulations
Respond quickly and effectively to any emergencies or incidents
Provide first aid and emergency assistance when required
Vigilance & Risk Management
Maintain constant awareness of guest activity in and around the pool area
Identify and report potential safety hazards immediately
Ensure safe usage of all water-based and leisure facilities
Conduct regular checks of pool conditions and equipment
Area Maintenance & Presentation
Ensure pool area is clean tidy and well-maintained at all times
Assist with setup of loungers towels and guest amenities
Check pool cleanliness and water quality standards
Report maintenance issues to management promptly
Guest Interaction & Service
Provide friendly and professional assistance to guests
Offer guidance and support regarding pool safety
Maintain a calm approachable and service-oriented presence
Enhance guest experience while prioritising safety
Requirements:
Valid Lifeguard Certification (essential)
First Aid and CPR certification (essential)
Previous experience in a similar role advantageous
Strong swimming ability and physical fitness
Excellent attention to detail and situational awareness
Ability to remain alert and focused for extended periods
Comfortable working in a remote lodge environment
Willingness to work shifts weekends and public holidays
