Lead Electrical Engineer Technologist

Our client is seeking an experienced Lead Electrical Engineer / Technologist to provide technical leadership on complex building services industrial and data centre projects in Cape Town. This is an opportunity for a senior professional to take ownership of electrical design project delivery and client relationships while working on high-reliability power systems.

Requirements:

• Professional registration with ECSA as a or Eng.
• Minimum 10 years consulting engineering experience within building services and/or industrial environments.
• Education: BSc Eng. or in Electrical Engineering.
• Strong knowledge of MV and LV power distribution systems.
• Experience with large-scale standby generation synchronisation power quality resilience and redundancy design.
• Working knowledge of IEC SANS and BS standards applicable to MV/LV systems.
• Experience with eTAP or equivalent software for electrical system studies.
• Knowledge of building services contracts such as JBCC FIDIC or NEC.
• Experience with Autodesk products such as Revit and Navisworks is advantageous.
• Data centre experience and knowledge of TIA-942 or Uptime principles will be advantageous.
• Strong communication technical report writing planning and project management skills.
