Job Summary

We currently have an exciting position available for Labour Law Litigator to be working within our Rustenburg branch.

You are responsible for

Inclusive of but not limited to:

Attending to all client matters and all phases of Labour Law Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) matters/cases from the investigation discovery assessment phase through the pre-arbitration conciliation settlement mediation and arbitration processes.

    Client Management:

    • Billing target achieved
    • Providing Labour Law advice to Clients including consultation and presiding over all types of Labour Law matters.
    • Discussing complex cases / disputes with Clients
    • Analysing risk and probable dispute outcomes
    • Assist with research on most recent case law
    • Assist Clients with the preparation for different disputes
    • The application of and/or interpreting laws rules and regulations relating to dispute resolution
    • Drafting correspondence to Clients the CCMA/Council Union Officials and other employee representatives.
    • Gathering and compiling evidence analysing evidence and the preparation of witness testimonies
    • Representing/Managing Clients at conciliation con/arb and arbitration level as well as pre-arbitration proceedings
    • Updating of case status on client management system
    • Various other responsibilities including but not limited to those specified herein and other requests and instructions from time to time
    • Contribute to growth and client management of the business

    Quality:

    • Matter files are in line with the required standard.
    • Management of dispute matters to required standard

    Client Retention:

    • Maintain a high success ratio in disputes assigned to you.

     


    Qualifications :

    Youll need a customer-first mindset and the following skills to succeed in this role:

    • LLB or B-Degree in IR/Law/HR/Industrial psychology or related field
    • Admission as an Attorney or experience in CCMA/BC Dispute Resolution advantageous.
    • Valid drivers license and own reliable vehicle is essential
       

    Requirements

    • Eagerness to learn the intricacies of Labour Law 
    • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) 
    • Must be able to effectively function within a pressurized and fast-paced environment
