We are looking for an experienced Kotlin / Android Developer to join a leading banking environment in Stellenbosch on a 6-month contract. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in Kotlin native Android development REST API integration and Agile delivery with exposure to web technologies being advantageous.

We are recruiting for a 6-month contract based in Stellenbosch offering exposure to large-scale digital platforms customer-facing applications and a highly professional Agile development environment.
This opportunity is ideal for a strong mobile developer who enjoys building robust secure and scalable Android applications and working closely with cross-functional technology teams.

What Youll Be Doing

Develop and maintain Android applications using Kotlin
Build clean scalable and maintainable application solutions
Integrate mobile applications with REST APIs and backend services
Troubleshoot debug and optimise existing applications
Participate in code reviews and technical discussions
Write unit and automated tests
Work within an Agile / Scrum development team
Collaborate with Developers QA Engineers Product Owners Business Analysts and UX/UI teams
Support application releases and continuous improvement initiatives
Contribute to secure and high-performing digital solutions

You should have solid commercial experience in:

Kotlin
Native Android Development
Android Studio
Android SDK
REST APIs / Web Services
Git / version control
Unit testing
Agile / Scrum environments

Experience

Ideally 4 years commercial software development experience
Strong hands-on Android development experience
Proven Kotlin experience
Experience working in structured development teams
Banking fintech or enterprise experience advantageous
