Junior SOC Analyst (Security Operations Centre Analyst)

Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior SOC Analyst to join our Cybersecurity Team. The successful candidate will assist in monitoring detecting investigating and responding to security incidents across the organizations IT infrastructure. This role provides an excellent opportunity for an entry-level cybersecurity professional to gain hands-on experience with security tools threat analysis incident response and security operations.

Security Monitoring & Incident Detection

• Monitor security alerts and events using SIEM platforms.
• Review and triage security incidents generated by monitoring tools.
• Identify and escalate suspicious activities potential threats and security breaches.
• Monitor endpoint network cloud and application security events.

Incident Response

• Perform initial investigation and analysis of security alerts.
• Assist in responding to cybersecurity incidents according to established procedures.
• Document incidents findings and remediation actions.
• Escalate complex incidents to senior analysts or incident response teams.

Threat Analysis

• Analyze logs from various security devices and systems.
• Research indicators of compromise (IOCs) and emerging threats.
• Assist with threat hunting activities under supervision.
• Correlate events from multiple sources to identify potential security risks.

Minimum Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in IT Computer Science Information Systems Cybersecurity Network Engineering or related field.
• 02 years of IT or cybersecurity experience.
• Basic understanding of networking Windows/Linux Active Directory firewalls and cybersecurity principles.
