Our client a leader in the Insurance Brokerage industry is seeking to employ a Short-Term Insurance Underwriter to join their team based in Port Elizabeth.

- Minimum of 35 years experience in a similar Short-Term Insurance Underwriting role (essential).
- Experience working on insurers online platforms and underwriting systems.
- Relevant insurance qualification will be advantageous.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong administrative and organisational skills.
- Systematic and detail-oriented approach to work.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Bilingual in English and Afrikaans.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
- Process policy renewals efficiently and accurately.
- Prepare and process policy amendments.
- Generate quotations for existing clients.
- Provide underwriting support to the current underwriting team.
- Liaise with insurers regarding policy queries and underwriting matters.
- Maintain accurate client records and policy documentation.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures and insurer requirements.
- Perform general administrative duties related to underwriting.
- Deliver excellent customer service to clients and internal stakeholders.
- Assist with resolving underwriting and policy-related queries.
- Monitor outstanding documentation and follow up where required.
- Support the team with daily operational and administrative activities.
