Job Summary
TO QUALIFY TO JOIN OUR JUNIOR SCHOOL TEAM AS AN INTERN YOU WOULD:
- Be 21 years or older.
- Be currently studying a Bachelor of Education degree (Foundation or Intermediate Phase).
- Be currently in your 3rd 4th or post-graduate year of study.
- Be warm engaging resilient honest genuine empathetic and kind.
- Have excellent teamwork communication and collaboration skills.
- Have strong values that align to the Christian ethos of the school.
- Have achieved an academic average of 65% and above during your degree (advantageous).
- Have a high level of computer competency and be willing to learn new systems.
- Have a clear criminal clearance certificate.
- Be willing to apply for SACE registration and clearances with the Child Protection and Sexual Offenders Registers.
There is an opportunity for female applicants with a drivers licenseto live and work in the Boarding Establishment (in a single capacity) and the applicants willingness to do so will be an advantage.
OUR EXPECTATIONS ARE THAT YOU WOULD:
- Commit to a one-year fixed-term contract conditional on your performance effective from January 2027.
- Register and study during your year with us and perform well academically.
- Immerse yourself fully in the life of our school and involve yourself in co-curricular activities coaching sport outreach and if applicable boarding and transport duties.
- Learn how to teach while you study and show self-discipline and enthusiasm during your learning journey with us.
- Be excited about learning how to integrate technology into the curriculum.
