Job Summary
Our client a dynamic IT company based in Cape Town CBD requires a motivated energetic Junior MS365 Migrations Engineer to be responsible for migrations from hosted on-prem exchange servers and Google Workspace to Microsoft 365 for the company and its clients. This is a junior client-facing role combining technical execution with project delivery team coordination and strategic planning and consulting.
Key Responsibilities
Microsoft 365 tenant & Administration
Microsoft 365 tenant & Administration
- Deploy configure and administer Microsoft 365 tenants including licensing and service health monitoring.
- Manage Microsoft Entra ID:
- Identity protection and MFA enforcement
- Assist with SharePoint and OneDrive rollouts for users
- Assist with Microsoft 365 migrations (file servers SharePoint tenant-to-tenant).
- Perform mailbox migrations from hosted on-prem and Google environments.
- Manage:
- Mail flow rules and connectors
- Accepted domains and DNS records (SPF DKIM DMARC)
- Transport and anti-phishing policies
- Shared and resource mailboxes
- Assist with multiple Microsoft 365 migration projects concurrently from planning through delivery.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time within scope and to high-quality standards.
- Maintain project documentation
- Translate business requirements into Microsoft 365 solutions and roadmaps.
- Provide best-practice guidance.
- Build long-term client relationships as a trusted advisor.
- Develop reusable templates and deployment standards.
- MS-900: Microsoft 365 Fundamentals
- Any IT related qualifications would be beneficial
- Experience working with Microsoft 365
- Hands-on experience with:
- Microsoft Entra ID
- Exchange Online
- SharePoint Online
- Microsoft Teams
- Experience working in an MSP or consulting environment preferred
