Duties & Responsibilities
What Youll Be Doing
- Assisting in the design and detailing of custom mechanical systems and special-purpose machinery
- Developing practical engineering solutions aligned to project specifications
- Performing engineering calculations including stress force and accuracy assessments
- Supporting machine design validation through analysis and simulations
- Creating detailed manufacturing and release documentation
- Working closely with senior engineers throughout the design process
- Supporting assembly and implementation activities during project execution
- Providing cost-saving ideas and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives
- Assisting with engineering change requests tooling and fixture design
What Were Looking For
- National Diploma BTech Bachelors Degree or higher qualification in:
- Mechanical Engineering or
- Mechatronics Engineering
- 0 to 2 years experience in a design environment
- Exposure to mechanical design principles and engineering calculations
- Understanding of materials manufacturing processes and machine design fundamentals
- Knowledge of FEA FMEA or design analysis methodologies would be advantageous
- Valid Code 8 drivers license
- Fluent in English
- Afrikaans communication skills advantageous
- German language skills beneficial
