Junior Laboratory Technician (Durban)

A company dedicated to providing exceptional chemical solutions to the Metal Finishing Industry is seeking a Junior Laboratory Technician to join their team in Durban. The duties include but are not limited to:

• Conduct routine laboratory analyses and testing
• Perform titrations and record results accurately
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment
• Operate UV-Vis analysis and Hull Cell evaluations
• Prepare chemical solutions and reagents
• Maintain laboratory records and documentation
• Ensure compliance with quality and safety procedures
• Assist with general laboratory housekeeping and stock control

Key requirements: Matric and relevant chemistry qualification. Experience with titrations is essential. Knowledge of UV-Vis Spectrophotometry and Hull Cell testing will be advantageous.
Good attention to detail and accuracy in recording results. Ability to follow laboratory procedures and safety standards. Strong communication and organizational skills. Computer literacy (Microsoft Office).

Additional requirements: Reliable and punctual. Eager to learn and develop technical skills. Able to work independently and as part of a team. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
