Key Responsibilities:
Your responsibilities will include:- Managing the day-to-day accounting function and maintaining accurate financial records.
- Processing journals invoices and financial transactions.
- Assisting with monthly management accounts and month-end reporting.
- Performing bank balance sheet creditor and debtor reconciliations.
- Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
- Supporting the administration and accounting of asset finance transactions.
- Maintaining fixed asset registers and processing depreciation.
- Preparing cash flow reports financial forecasts board reports and audit schedules.
- Assisting with VAT statutory submissions and audit requirements.
- Monitoring financial controls and identifying opportunities to improve finance processes.
- Maintaining accurate financial information within accounting and ERP systems.
- Building strong relationships with internal stakeholders customers suppliers auditors and funding partners.
Job Experience & Skills Required:
Education:- Diploma or Degree in Accounting Finance or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years experience in an accounting or finance role.
- Experience within financial services commercial lending or asset finance will be highly advantageous.
- Previous exposure to ERP systems and accounting software.
- Candidates who are immediately available or can start on short notice will be given preference.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Strong reconciliation and analytical abilities.
- Working knowledge of IFRS.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Experience working with online banking platforms and accounting systems.
- Knowledge of VAT and other South African statutory requirements.
