A leading retail company is looking for a dynamic and forward-thinking Financial Manager to join the team as the 2IC to the Group Financial Manager for the division. This opportunity is ideally suited to a newly qualified CA(SA) or a candidate with up to one years post-qualification experience who is eager to step into a commercially focused and tech-enabled finance environment.
Job Description:
- The Financial Manager will act as the second-in-command to the Group Financial Manager overseeing a team of approximately 15 accountants and clerks
- The role is centred on delivering accurate and insightful management accounts supporting business decision-making and driving efficiencies across the finance function
- With a strong focus on process improvement and automation the successful candidate will play a key role in enhancing systems streamlining workflows and supporting the evolution of a modern tech-enabled finance environment.
Skills & Experience:
- CA(SA)
- Retail or high-volume environment exposure advantageous
- Strong management accounting and commercial acumen
- Proven ability to identify and implement process improvements
- Interest in automation and finance technology with exposure to tools such as Power BI Python or similar
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage and develop a team effectively
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Proactive innovative and solutions-driven mindset

- Honours Degree in Accounting
