Junior Construction Buyer Construction Industry

RPO Recruitments client a well-established medium-sized construction company in Cape Town is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Construction Buyer to join their procurement team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with some procurement or construction buying experience who is looking to develop their career within the construction industry.

Requirements:

• Relevant qualification in Procurement Supply Chain Business Administration Construction or a related field will be advantageous.
• 24 years procurement or buying experience preferably within the construction or building industry.
• Good understanding of construction materials suppliers and procurement processes.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Good numerical and administrative abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple orders and deadlines.
• Proficient in MS Office particularly Excel.
• Experience with BuildSmart or similar construction/procurement software will be advantageous.
• Valid drivers licence and own reliable transport preferred.
