Job Summary
A leading debt recovery and debt management firm is looking for a detail-oriented Junior Bookkeeper to join their finance team. This role is ideal for a finance professional with solid bookkeeping experience who is eager to grow within the financial services sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records for a high-volume book.
Job Description:
- Perform full bookkeeping functions up to trial balance
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
- Reconcile bank accounts and general ledger accounts
- Capture and maintain accurate financial records
- Assist with monthly management accounts and reporting requirements
- Ensure compliance with company financial policies and procedures
- Work on a monthly book value of approximately R25 million
- Utilize Sage and Sage VIP systems for daily financial operations
- Assist with audit preparation and financial administration
Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 2 years bookkeeping experience
- Experience working with high-volume financial transactions
- Proficient in Sage and Sage VIP
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Must reside in Cape Town
Qualification:
- Diploma in Finance or related qualification preferred
