Job Summary
Junior Accountant
Minimum 25 years accounting experience (including articles) Experience working with CaseWare is essential
BCom Accounting BCom Financial Accounting or an equivalent tertiary SAICA or SAIPA Articles (essential)
Strong understanding of South African accounting standards and tax preparing financial statements and management reports. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

Strong understanding of South African accounting standards and tax preparing financial statements and management reports. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Duties:
- Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports.
- Perform month-end and year-end accounting processes.
- Prepare and post journals accruals and general ledgerreconciliations.
- Reconcile bank accounts and balance sheet accounts.
- Prepare VAT calculations and statutory submissions.
- Assist with annual audits and provide audit support documentation.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS company policies and applicablelegislation.
- Prepare financial analyses and reports for management.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Monitor cash flow and assist with treasury-related functions.
- Review and reconcile debtor and creditor accounts.
- Identify opportunities to improve financial controls and accountingprocesses.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to provide financial supportand guidance.
- Perform any other accounting and finance-related duties as required
