Job Summary
The successful candidate will be technically strong highly organised and able to build positive working relationships across the business as the role requires regular interaction with stakeholders outside of the finance department.
- Process and maintain accurate day-to-day financial transactions
- Prepare and post journal entries and maintain the general ledger
- Assist with monthly quarterly and annual financial reporting
- Monitor cash flow and assist with budgeting and forecasting
- Prepare VAT returns and support statutory compliance requirements
- Prepare financial reports for management
- Assist with internal and external audit requirements
- Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation
- Liaise with internal stakeholders across multiple business entities
- BCom Degree in Accounting Finance or a related field
- Minimum 5 years bookkeeping or accounting experience
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Experience with reconciliations and month-end processes
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Personable and confident working with stakeholders across the business
- Professional ethical and trustworthy
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and contribute
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- Able to work independently while also being an effective team player
- Comfortable handling confidential financial information
