Inventory Manager

Purpose of the role: Overall responsibility of the entire business (group) inventory within the DC as well as performance of the annual DC Stock-take with minimal variance.

This position reports to the DC Operations Manager

Your responsibilities will include:

• Manage and ensure that Inventory is well organized and controlled to sufficiently support
• Production and the goals of the busines
• Implement improvement processes and maintain
• Policies and procedures and systems to minimize costsand maximize working capital
• Ensuring all work areas are clean and tidy and safe forstaff to work in (housekeeping)
• Manage and implement the Company Policies &Procedures within the Inventory department and ensurethat they is strictly adhered to
• Manage stock takes cycle counts replenishments
• Ensure stock accuracy and pick able locations
• Control Pick fails & stock investigations
• Supervise stock movements
• Daily deal stock management
• Drive process improvement through data drivendecisions
• Manage and implement inventory management strategies
• Optimize the customer experience by ensuring the rightproduct quantities in the right places at the right time
• Perform audits of inventory management-related toolsand systems ensuring settings are correct and optimized
• Automate whenever possible
• Take ownership of all aspects of inventory reporting for
• The company: develop the inventory planning model plan product transitions and inventory exposure
• Produce daily reports to ensure key critical areas of theinventory processes arecontrolled
• Effective leadership and direction for the operations teamthrough involvement andcommunication to deliver on the relevant key businessdrivers Measure and manage staff through formal staff appraisals development coachingand disciplinary procedures
• Conform to all Health Safety and Environmental (HSE)standards and legislation as set out by the business and the OHS Act
• Drive continuous improvement measures within yourdepartment
• Align all inventory report with financial reports
• Monitor LPN reports for all DC operations (Inbound put-away outbound returns recovery and RFC)
• Oversee the put away function stock filing
• Be responsible for all projects stock moves
• Ensure that all inventory is effectively managed by
• identifying slow moving stock dead stock expired datesand other critical factors
• Continuously monitor the stock density by location and devise appropriate action plans to reduce impact on production
• Develop appropriate inventory solutions for the variety ofproduct types stored
• Align with finance on month end processes
• Clear all daily pick and pack not founds
• Conduct daily put away audit to evaluate the accuracy ofthe process
• Strategically align with risk management and highlighthigh risk areas and potential theft hot spots
• Stick management of non-conformance of consumablestock (active custodian of checks and risk mitigation ofnon-conforming consumable stock)
• Expected to manage the Inventory holding and Integrityof the DC
• Collaborate with HOD's in order to streamline andachieve Inventory and DC KPI & align Inventory policies with Finance
• Assist in maintaining and managing the compliance asset out by the various regulatory boards
• Liaise with Head Office to drive and execute Groupstrategies related to Inventory and compliance

Qualification & Experience:

• 5 to 7 years previous experience in inventory managementincluding a minimum of 3 years at management level
• Preferably in the Logistics Supply Chain Warehousing andDistribution environment
• Proficient in MS Office (Word Excel MS Access andPowerPoint)

• Excellent and proven data extraction and analyticalability and applying this data to drive inventorymanagement decisions
• Organized and detailed oriented with proven experienceof managing inventory
• A Self- starter who is tenacious at identifying andresolving challenges
• Passionate about customer service within the supplychain environment
• Experience creating and setting annual operating plansand presenting to Senior DC Management
• Have a detailed understanding of inventory control /warehouse management systems (including reverselogistics)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Possess excellent verbal and written communicationskills for a demanding and customer focused workingenvironment
• Possess excellent personal organization and businessadministration skills in accordance with modern bestpractice methods
• Possess the ability to work productively efficiently & effectively with initiative and drive under tight timescalesand pressure whilst maintaining attention to detail andquality
• Possess the willingness to learn improve and adapt
• Good team player hard worker willing to be flexible witha positive attitude
• Must be able to work as part of a multi-cultural team
• Must be willing to work overtime as and when required
• This overtime will be unpaid due to the level of theposition
