Job Summary
RPO Recruitments client a well-established building contractor in Johannesburg is seeking an experienced Intermediate Quantity Surveyor to join their team. The successful candidate will have solid commercial and contractual experience across a variety of building projects with exposure to commercial retail industrial and residential developments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and manage project budgets cost estimates and forecasts.
- Measurement and preparation of BOQs.
- Monitor project costs and expenditure against approved budgets.
- Prepare valuations payment certificates and variation orders.
- Manage subcontractor accounts and payments.
- Assess and negotiate variations and claims.
- Prepare and manage final accounts.
- Assist with tendering procurement and subcontractor appointments.
- Conduct regular cost reporting and commercial reviews.
- Liaise with clients consultants contractors and subcontractors.
- Ensure effective commercial and contractual management throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements:
- BSc/BTech in Quantity Surveying/National Diploma in Building
- 58 years experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry.
- Proven experience working on commercial retail industrial and residential projects.
- Strong understanding of construction contracts cost management and commercial processes.
- Experience with measurement valuations variations payment certificates and final accounts.
- Strong MS Office and CCS Candy skills
Benefits:
Salary: R420K R480K CTC per annum
