Job Summary
A manufacturer and supplier of diagnostic products is seeking an Information Pharmacist to join them on a 6-month fixed-term contract. The Information Pharmacist is responsible for providing a reliable and efficient information service that puts knowledge of the plasma fractionation industry and plasma derived medicinal products to work in attaining the business and operational goals of the company. This is done using current technology and information literacy skills to source organise evaluate package and present information in a way that maximises its usefulness. The Information Pharmacist will be required to apply clinical acumen and knowledge of both the plasma fractionation industry and the companys product portfolio to achieve timely and effective provision of a comprehensive clinical service.
Key Requirements: BSc (Pharm) or BPharm degree preferably a postgraduate qualification in Clinical Pharmacy/Pharmacology with a min. 4 years experience in a pharmacy practice environment. Must be a South African Pharmacy Council Registered Pharmacist and be Registered with the Pharmaceutical Society of South Africa.
Additional Requirements: Literature searching and evaluation as well as training and lecturing skills and knowledge of bibliographic management software databases (MS Access or silmilar) and Pharmacovigilance/Drug Safety activities.
