Infection Prevention Specialist

Our client is seeking an experienced Infection Prevention Specialist to support the implementation and monitoring of infection prevention and control standards. This role is suited to a clinically strong professional with a passion for patient safety quality improvement and healthcare compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop implement and monitor infection prevention and control programmes.
• Conduct infection surveillance audits and risk assessments.
• Investigate healthcare-associated infections and recommend corrective actions.
• Provide education and training to clinical and support staff.
• Monitor compliance with infection prevention policies and procedures.
• Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
• Compile reports and provide recommendations to management.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse with current SANC registration.
• Relevant qualification in Infection Prevention and Control.
• Previous infection prevention experience within a healthcare environment.
• Sound knowledge of infection prevention legislation standards and best practices.
• Strong analytical reporting and communication skills.
• Ability to influence and engage multidisciplinary teams.
