ICU CNS Shift Leader

An excellent opportunity is available for an experienced Critical Care nursing professional to join our clients ICU team in Johannesburg. This position is suited to a Registered Nurse with specialist Critical Care training and proven experience in a CNS or Shift Leader capacity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver and support the provision of high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients
• Provide clinical guidance and support to nursing staff
• Coordinate and oversee shift activities within the ICU
• Monitor compliance with clinical patient safety and infection prevention standards
• Assist with the management of complex patient care
• Support staff development and clinical competence
• Maintain accurate nursing documentation and records
• Promote effective teamwork and communication within the multidisciplinary team
• Assist with maintaining efficient ICU operations

Minimum Requirements:

• Degree or Diploma in General Nursing
• Current registration with SANC
• Post Basic qualification in Critical Care essential
• Previous experience as a Shift Leader and/or Clinical Nurse Specialist
• Strong critical care nursing knowledge
• Excellent clinical leadership and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a high-acuity environment
