An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Human Resources Practitioner to join a dynamic organisation within the food service and hospitality sector. This role is ideal for an HR generalist who enjoys partnering with operational management driving people initiatives and ensuring best-practice HR processes across multiple sites.

This role is based in Midrand.

Key Responsibilities:
As the Human Resources Practitioner you will be responsible for:
  • Providing end-to-end HR support to operational management across multiple restaurant locations.
  • Managing and mentoring the HR Administrator while ensuring all HR processes are completed accurately and on time.
  • Supporting managers with employee relations performance management employee wellbeing and organisational development initiatives.
  • Coordinating recruitment selection onboarding reference checks and workforce planning.
  • Conducting exit interviews and analysing turnover trends to improve employee retention.
  • Advising management on Employment Equity diversity and transformation initiatives.
  • Ensuring compliance with labour legislation internal policies and audit requirements.
  • Representing the business in disciplinary grievance incapacity and appeal hearings as well as CCMA matters.
  • Providing guidance on poor performance misconduct incapacity ill-health and disability cases.
  • Assisting with payroll input verification and resolving payroll-related discrepancies.
  • Producing HR reports and analysing people data to identify trends and support business decision-making.
  • Promoting a high-performance culture through KPI alignment coaching and performance management support.
  • Advising on remuneration benchmarking and pay-related matters in line with legislation and industry standards.
Job Experience and Skills Required:
  • National Diploma or Degree in Human Resources or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years operational Human Resources experience preferably within the hospitality restaurant retail or multi-site environment.
  • Strong knowledge of South African labour legislation including the LRA BCEA EEA OHSA and SDA.
  • Experience handling disciplinary processes grievances CCMA matters and performance management.
  • Knowledge of HR systems HR reporting and HR analytics.
  • Experience partnering with operational management and building strong stakeholder relationships.
