Our client is looking for a detail-oriented and proactive HR Consultant with strong payroll and employee relations experience to join their team. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who takes ownership works independently and is confident advising both employees and management on HR and labour-related matters.

Key Responsibilities
Payroll- Manage and oversee the end-to-end payroll process ensuring accuracy compliance and timely processing.
- Capture and verify payroll inputs adjustments deductions leave and employee benefits.
- Reconcile payroll reports and investigate and resolve payroll queries.
- Maintain accurate payroll records and ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
- Prepare monthly payroll reports and provide relevant insights to management.
- Manage and facilitate employee relations matters in a fair consistent and professional manner.
- Guide managers through disciplinary and corrective action processes.
- Conduct and facilitate disciplinary investigations meetings and hearings.
- Drive and oversee Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs).
- Provide guidance on grievances performance concerns and employee-related matters.
- Ensure HR and ER practices remain aligned with South African labour legislation.
- Provide guidance and support on HR policies procedures and best practices.
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation.
- Assist with statutory HR compliance and reporting.
- Participate in HR projects and initiatives as required.
- Build strong working relationships with employees and management.
Minimum Requirements
- Diploma/Degree in Human Resources Industrial Psychology Labour Relations or a related field.
- Minimum 8 years payroll experience.
- Minimum 2 years hands-on experience using PaySpace Payroll.
- Strong practical experience in Employee Relations.
- Proven experience managing PIPs disciplinary processes investigations and hearings.
- Good knowledge of South African labour legislation.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills particularly Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
